Jeff Garcia, a player I really wanted the Bucs to sign last year, has been making all kinds of noise here in the offseason that now he wants more money. He wants more money for what? Going into the 2007 season, he signed a two year contract with incentives. He didn't meet the incentives and now with the 08 season looming, Jeff is making his displeasure known by publicly stating that he will retire before playing in 08 for the Bucs.
Jeff, go ahead and retire. Unless you have some inside track on making a bazillion dollars in the market, your high profile wife and new child are going to require some monetary attention.
Instead of dragging all this out in the media, giving them something to frenzy over in the offseason, why can't you, your agent and Bruce Allen sit down and discuss what your needs are? After all Jeff, you did sign a 2 year contract, if you want to retire, you are going to have to return last years 1.5 million dollar signing bonus. Carmella has been public about wanting to extend her career, and if you aren't a starting NFL QB, her stock drops more than yours.
Jeff, sit down, and work this out, Bucs fans want you at QB this year, stop being basically an asshole.
