Dear Jon,

Jon. I understand that you have coached the Bucs to an 8-3 record and we are currently the #2 seed in the NFC. However, on Sunday we face the team which has caused the Bucs so much heartache over the years. A Drew Brees led Saints team and a Bucs defense which loves to allow those little 6-8 yard passes which always seem to come back to bite us in the ass. And they will Sunday, when the Saints show up with Lance Moore, Colston, and Reggie Bush.

You aren't going to get away with allowing the visiting team to put 17 points on the board first this time. After being down 24-3 to Kansas City and 17-0 to Detroit, need I mention the 2 worst teams in the NFL, that kind of behavior isn't going to cut it on Sunday. I understand, New Orleans is 1-4 on the road this season and the Buccos are a perfect 5-0 at home. Let's make it 6-0. Carolina is reeling offensively and will be playing in Green Bay where it should be a balmy 16 degrees. Atlanta is visiting a hungry San Diego squad who needs to win to stay in the hunt for the AFC West. If you take care of business on Sunday, New Orleans will be basically eliminated from the playoff picture. Green Bay should be pissed off after getting manhandled last Monday night and take it out on Carolina. LT gets his groove back at home and San Diego runs over the Falcons.

Here are 10 tips for victory on Sunday's game Jon, take note-

1. New Orleans pass defense is terrible. Keep Antonio Bryant at split end and work Galloway into the slot position. Galloway kills the Saints. A three wide set with Bryant, Galloway and Clayton would be nice to see.

2. Stretch the field. Jesus man, some good things can happen when you actually throw the ball more than 4 yards down the field. Simply review some tape of last weeks game. Lets see about 8 shots down the field of over 20 yards this week would be good. Enough of the 4 yard slant patterns. Those worked with Jerry Rice, but we don't have a Jerry Rice on the roster.

3. Dunn/Williams around the corner. Am I the only one who sees that we have some of our best rushing plays when our running backs go outside of the tackles? Why do you insist on running between the guards?

4. Jerramy Stevens. Jon, this guy is 6'7". When we get into the redzone, this guy is a nightmare for defenses to cover. The Saints linebackers are smaller, Stevens needs to be a major target. In know Alex Smith is going to play, so line up in a two TE situation and create lots of problems for the Saints D.

5. Pass rush. There has got to be some pressure on Drew Brees, who has passed for nearly 4,000 yards already. Gaines Adams, Jimmy Wilkerson, Kevin Carter, Greg White and others need to help Drew taste alot of turf at RayJay.

6. Have a heart to heart with Trueblood. Jon, I love this guy's intensity, but he's been fined by the league 4 times already this season. He has also caused some serious personal foul penalties late in key games this year. Intensity is one thing, but being flagged for stupid penalties is something else...........just stupid.

7. Run some no huddle offense. When the Bucs have tried this during the season, it's been very successful, we did we abandon it?

8. Rotate Ronde to nickle coverage and start Talib. Yeah, yeah, I know Ronde Barber who was the NFC defensive player of the week last week, but he's lost a step or two. He's not the player he was in 2002 and many times this season I've watched as he was out of position or simply slipped and was torched by an opposing wideout. Ronde, I love you and appreciate everything you've done while with the Bucs but after this season, you might think about seeing if Tiki can find you a gig on the Today show.

9. Contain. Contain. Contain. Reggie Bush is going to be playing Sunday, so he'll be getting alot of checkdown and screen passes. The defense MUST stay home. This guy seems to kill us everytime we play. Bush also returns punts. Special teams players MUST STAY IN THEIR LANES!

10. Score touchdowns not kick field goals. For the love of God, please, these 6-7 minute drives where you fail to score a touchdown and settle for the field goal come back to bite us in the ass nearly each and every week. It would be nice to see the Bucs put 14 on the board first on Sunday and let the defense take care of business instead of having to battle from behind.

I have faith in you Jon. Garcia, Brooks, Barber and Carter realize that this might be their last chance to advance into the playoffs and grab ahold of the brass ring. They also know that they have a chance to make history as the first home team of the Super Bowl host city to actually play in the game. We are on the cusp of something special. There is an aura over the Bay area this season. First it was the Rays, and I can sense it's now the Bucs. Of course my special feeling might just be that I have gas, but I believe. So take care of business Sunday and smack the Saints right in the mouth. Make a statement. And make sure you score 27 or more points, regular readers know that is the key to a Bucs victory. I'm running low on Nitro pills Jon, can we put this game away early this week?

Bucs 31 Saints 27
Packers 30 Panthers 20
Chargers 37 Falcons 16

A first round bye is right around the corner, just take care of business Bucs!
