News stories of the day

Bill Gates Buggy?

Yesterday at a technology conference in California, Billionaire Bill Gates opened a jar filled with mosquitoes and released them through his audience. Top industry executives were appalled, some were even quoted as saying that they were no longer going to sit in the front row during Bill Gates speaking engagements. Gates was trying to emphasize the worlds malaria problem, by stating that poor people shouldn't be the only ones who get malaria. I thought he was trying to demonstrate how buggy the Vista operating system is.

West Virginia waterfront property?

Yahoo news is reporting yet another Global warming story this morning. The story states that if the West Antarctic Ice Sheet melts completely due to warming temperatures, Washington DC will be completely underwater. Wooo Hooo! Let's hope.

Silence!

It's taken about two weeks longer than I thought, but it looks like Senate hearings on talk radio will begin soon. MI senator Stabenow (who is married to a liberal talk show producer) threw out the idea yesterday in an interview as reported in the Politico. This will be the revival of the so-called "Fairness Doctrine". There is nothing "Fair" about it. If you don't agree whole heartedly with everything the administration wants to run down the taxpayers throats, then you must be silenced. The truth is, that the market has created the people on talk radio who are successful. Liberals have had opportunity to create talk radio shows but they aren't successful. How'd that Air America work out for ya?
