Random news thoughts of the day..........

Bucs Backlash?
After listening to the new Bucs head coach today in a presser regarding the release of 5 players with nearly 60 years of NFL experience, I fear, this 32 year old has no clue. I gave him the benefit of the doubt on his first presser when Gruden was fired and he was announced as the head coach, but this afternoon, I fear this man has no idea what it takes to be a head coach. A 6-10 season will be a positive next year Bucs fans. My free agent preview will be posted tomorrow.
I, as a fan, was very upset in the manner Brooks was released.

Gas Pumps-
I noticed a trend while pumping gas this past summer once gasoline reached 4.00 a gallon. Say for instance you pre paid 20.00 at your pump. It seemed as if the pumps flew through the first 19.50 worth of gas at a speed with would make a NASCAR pitcrew feel proud, and then the last 50 cents crawled through the pump at a speed which you could watch paint dry. What's up with this? Are gas stations trying to make us feel like we are getting more for our time at the pump? We're already bent over, just let the gas fly and get the hurt over with as fast as possible.

Chimp laws-
Oh boy! The House yesterday took up debate and passage of a bill outlawing the interstate transportation of chimps in response to the woman who was attacked in New York 2 weeks ago. Is there not something more pressing than passing laws on chimps? I guess not. Obama routinely spouts off that this is the worst economy since the Great Depression, but the House needed to move on the fast track for Chimp reform. If the Senate passes the bill, and Obama signs it into law, how will all the monkeys in Congress ever be able to travel back home? What a freaking waste of time by the self anointed in DC.

3rd time a charm?
Obama has once again, actually for the third time, announced his selection for Commerce secretary. Former Governor, Gary Locke from the socialist state of Washington. Has he used TurboTax? One thing is for sure, he had his brother-in-law living in the Governor's Mansion at the same time the brother-in-law was awarded a large state government contract and while he was actively lobbying the state government. This is going to be a transparent administration, no lobbyists.

NFL HQ, Call me!
The economic downturn has even hit the NFL. Today, NFL Mob Boss, Roger Goodell announced he would take a 20% pay cut. The "Messiah" has told people, with "skin in the game", they should cut back and Goodell conformed. The NFL Commish has serious duties. He's got to oversee the NFL draft, hold a few owners meetings, oversee meetings on some various rule changes, attend the HOF ceremony and game, attend various opening weekend games of the NFL season, attend whatever game he wishes during the regular season and playoffs, and then there is that pesky last game of the season known as the Super Bowl, oh hell, a week later there is that Pro Bowl crap going on. And for all of his duress, he's decided he can take a 20% reduction in pay. Original pay? 11 million a year. 11 million? Are you freaking kidding me? I'd do this job for 50,000.00 a year, plus the league needs to pay for travel and wardrobe.
